This list could go on and on, but I'm going to focus on the larger power carving tools such as, angle grinders, die grinders, etc. I absolutely love a good handheld rotary tool like a Dremel, but I'll post about that in a different post. This Arbortech angle grinder system is HANDS DOWN my favorite. When using this system with dust collection, there is hardly any mess, which I LOVE!
Pair this blade with the Arbortech Power Carving System, and it's a dream machine! This blade allows you carve a ton of material out, or a little, and gives you the ability to make a flat smooth surface. Which in turn saves me a TON of time sanding.
My next favorite larger power carving tool, is this mini carving system by Arbortech! I was expecting there to be a lot of kick back, like when I use my die grinder, but there was hardly any... dare I say none. Paired with the Arbortech Mini Pro blade, I can carve tiny details or take out huge chunks of material.
Now with all that said, I understand that not everyone can jump in and purchase tools that have that high of a price tag, so my next favorites are Kutzall. They get the job done and you don't have to worry about them breaking like cheaper box store disc's. Grinding wheels and burrs are not something you want to skimp on when you're carving, as you don't want a piece of blade breaking off and flying at ya.
