When I was getting started with carving I knew I needed a strong, reliable clamp to hold my work safely while I carved, but all I was finding was bench top clamps that didn't open very wide. This clamp, like the popular jawhorse, can hold large, heavy items, but is almost half the price of a jawhorse. The Triton SuperJaws has been in my shop for multiple years, and continues to be my go to for clamping items that I am carving. Some tools you purchase unsure if you're going to use it enough, this is one of those that if you carve, you will use all the time!
